The Strategic Goal Advocates are as follows:
  • Customer Goal: Ordnance Engineering Director, Electronic Development Director and Microwave Systems Director
  • Workforce Goal: Employee Services Director
  • Organization Goal: Commander, Executive Director and the members of the Board of Directors
  • Environment Goal: Deputy Public Works Director
  • Community Goal: Public Affairs Officer
  • Infrastructure Goal: Public Works Director
  • Safety Goal: Explosive Safety Officer and Occupational Safety and Health Department Director

The roles and responsibilities of the Strategic Goal Advocates are to develop and maintain Plans of Actions and Milestones (POAMs) and metrics for their respective goals. The POAMs are dynamic plans and will require changes as new requirements come on line. More specific actions towards the goals are contained in Business Plans prepared and executed by our Business Unit managers. Division resources are assigned to Business Unit managers to execute their business goals. The Division’s operating plan formally documents those resource allocations annually. Individual employee Performance Expectations link employee performance to the business unit goals and to Division strategic goals. Division level Performance Reviews are conducted by Command to measure and report progress towards each of the strategic goals and our Balanced Scorecard. The Strategic Goal Advocates are responsible for progress towards their assigned goals and target performance levels. Business Unit managers are responsible for achieving business unit goals and each employee is responsible for achieving individual performance expectations. Thus, individual performance and business unit performance are linked to the Division’s strategic goals.
